Description We are in search of a Sales Assistant to join our event planning team situated in Santa Barbara, California. This role primarily involves handling customer inquiries, managing databases, and ensuring smooth office operations within the industry. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, making it an excellent chance for long-term career growth and development.Responsibilities: Operate computer systems and other office equipment, such as printers and scanners, to maintain and update customer databases. Handle a high volume of inbound calls, providing prompt and accurate information to customers and clients. Welcome walk-in customers, addressing their inquiries or directing them to the appropriate department based on their needs. Efficiently manage scheduling and event calendars, confirming appointments for clients, customers, and outside salespeople. Complete company-related forms following the established procedures. Set up and manage both paper and electronic filing systems, updating paperwork and maintaining important documents. Review the work of others for correct spelling and grammar, adherence to company format policies, and suggest necessary revisions. Contribute to team efforts and assist in the implementation of new office technologies and inventory. Maintain a professional demeanor while handling customer service tasks, including cash handling and order management. Plan and coordinate special events as part of the job function.Requirements Proficiency in CRM software and Data Processing Experience in handling cash transactions and ensuring accuracy Ability to provide exceptional Customer Service Capable of handling and managing inbound calls Experience in Event Planning and Special Event Planning Strong skills in Order Management Administrative Assistance experience, including managing schedules, communications, and office tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and able to work independently when necessary Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically High attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work well in a team and contribute positively to team dynamics.
