Job Posting: Part-Time Nanny (5-7 Hours/Week)
Location: Carpinteria, CA (kids attend school in Santa Barbara)
Schedule: Approximately 25 hours per month – including driving time and errands
Wednesday & Thursday: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Every other Friday: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Additional hours for nights and weekends may be offered but are not required.
Compensation: $30/hour + gas money.
Start Date: August 1
About Our Family: We are a busy family with two engaged, energetic, and creative boys, ages 8 and 11. As an educator and school leader, I value creating a nurturing and structured environment for the boys. I am seeking a dependable and enthusiastic part-time nanny to join our family and help support our boys' growth and development.
Responsibilities:
Pick up the boys from school in Santa Barbara and drive them to activities and home to Carpinteria.
Prepare simple and nutritious dinners for the boys.
Go grocery shopping once a week and handle occasional errands.
Engage the boys in outdoor play, board games, and other screen-free activities.
Provide positive and patient care, with sensitivity to the needs of children on the mild end of the autism spectrum.
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
A clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Energetic, creative, and passionate about fostering a screen-free, engaging environment.
Interest in education and child development is a plus.
