EF International Language Campus in Santa Barbara is seeking a dynamic, organized, sales and results driven and customer service minded Intern for our Housing Team.
This is a great opportunity to gain knowledge and experience. Training and support will be provide. Successful candidate will start immediately.
The Intern will work with the Housing team to recruit, visit to assess suitability, motivate and retain host families in the local area. S/he will work and support the team to execute all local marketing initiatives, campaigns, social media, data base calling and follow up to secure a ‘home away from home’ for our international students. As a business our needs change throughout the year, particularly as we work towards our peak season in the summer but the marketing, outreach and follow up is a year-round operation. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, enjoy communication and networking together with being creative and flexible with a nothing is impossible mindset.
The Role
Support online and offline marketing actions and events
Support Host Family Appreciation and/or external recruitment events.
Work as part of the housing team with excellent communication skills, and help students acclimate to a new environment.
Efficiently manage administrative & other assigned tasks
Ensure a high level of customer service to international students, host families and other members of the community where students reside.
Other duties as required - responsibilities may be modified depending on the operational needs of the department and school.
Paid internship and may require some weekend work or flexible working hours at certain times of year.
Requirements:
Sales or recruitment experience preferred but not required
Customer service oriented
Organization and communication skills
Creative thinker, self- driven and motivated
Detail oriented
Enjoy working in a fast paced environment, with the ability to react quickly and make sound decisions.
Passionate and energetic with an outgoing personality
Comfortable working with diverse populations
Travel or study abroad experience helpful but not essential
Compensation: $16/hour, 20+ hours/week
