At WES CPA, we are a small tax and accounting firm in Santa Ynez Valley, located in a beautiful office in Solvang. We are looking for a positive and motivated individual to join our tax team and work family. Our company has been in business for over 10 years - we are continually growing and looking for an individual who wants to grow with us. We are currently looking for full-time seasonal work with part-time work in the slower months. You must be able to come into the office in Solvang at least 3 times per week during busy season. You may work remotely the rest of the time.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Review and ensure accuracy of client financial information.
- Assist in tax planning and preparation of quarterly estimates.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax and bookkeeping matters.
- Stay up to date with federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Create new processes to improve firm efficiency.
Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles. Experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, account reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, payroll
processing, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with tax preparation (data entry) is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule:
Part-time for most of the year.
Full-time during the busy season (typically January through April).
Remote work will be allowed a couple times a week during busy season and a majority of time during non-busy season
- Experience with QB Online and desktop
- Proficient in Microsoft office, Adobe
