Description Our client is seeking an Employment Attorney to join their in-house team based in Santa Ana, California. This role is primarily focusing on employment law. The successful candidate will serve as an in-house legal expert on employment and labor law issues, providing essential guidance to internal stakeholders such as Human Resources and other business partners.Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment law matters including performance management, terminations, wage and hour issues, leaves and reasonable accommodations, EEO and FEHA matters, staff reductions. Serve as the subject matter expert in all areas of employment and labor law. Research and provide legal opinions on employment law issues to respond to business needs and inquiries. Stay updated on developments in employment law at the federal, state, and local levels, particularly in California. Communicate effectively updates in employment law to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with Human Resources and other business partners to ensure the organization is in compliance with all employment laws and policies. Participate in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures. Guide the internal team on matters related to employment law during internal processes such as performance management and terminations. Assist in managing the legal aspects of staff reductions and restructuring processes. Handle legal inquiries and issues related to employment law from internal employees.Requirements Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar is required. Proven experience as an attorney, preferably in the field of employment law. Deep understanding of the principles and application of employment law.
