Description Robert Half is seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant with extensive experience in revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of ASC 606.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.

Monitor and track AR aging reports, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.

Resolve customer billing inquiries and discrepancies efficiently.

Review and analyze customer contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.

Prepare and maintain detailed revenue recognition schedules and related documentation.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting.

Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards.

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual AR and revenue reports to management.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the AR and revenue recognition processes.

Leverage technology and automation to streamline AR operations.

Work closely with the sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of revenue recognition activities.

Provide guidance and training to other team members on revenue recognition principles and practices.

Participate in special projects as assigned, including system implementations, process optimization, and data analysis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable and revenue recognition.In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).Advanced MS Excel skills, including v-lookups and pivot tables.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
