The Tax Assembly Supervisor acts as a career advisor and manages the performance of the team including goal setting, career development, and performance evaluations. The Tax Assembly Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of workflow and processing of accurate and timely client deliverables and filings with governmental agencies. Act as career advisor and manage performance of the Tax Assembly team
Oversee the processing of client deliverables (e.g., tax returns, extensions, organizers and client maintenance projects) in an accurate and timely manner while following quality control standards
Supervise and manage workflow and training of Tax Assembly team
Assist with establishing and maintaining best practices
Assist Business Services Managers with implementing firm initiatives
Update and monitor due date tracking schedules and reports to tax management
Identify and develop process improvement
Coordinate delivery of tax organizers and scanning client data
Coordinate and assist with binder closing procedures and compliance following quality control standards
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required
Minimum of 3 years of related experience required, experience in a professional services environment preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experience coaching and managing a team
Ability to quickly build relationships to influence the accomplishment of organizational goals
Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals
Strong attention to detail, commitment to producing accurate work in a timely manner
Proven commitment to providing exceptional client service
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues to others
Adaptable to a changing environment; champions change and influences others to change
May require some overtime hours
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
