Sr. Accountant

Description We are actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to assist our client in San Francisco. In this role, your primary focus will be managing payroll transactions, emphasizing accounting responsibilities rather than payroll analysis. This role is a contract opportunity. If you're an accounting professional looking for a dynamic role in a thriving environment, we encourage you to apply today!Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with US GAAP in a publicly traded company environment Investigate and resolve issues with payroll interfaces, specifically with ADP Handle journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Conduct fluctuation analysis in the General Ledger Manage accruals like PTO and severance Maintain an accurate record of payroll transactions Work in a fully remote setting during standard business hours on Pacific Standard Time.Requirements The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant. Proficiency in account reconciliation is a must for this role. Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation is required. The candidate should have experience in handling bank reconciliations. Familiarity with the general ledger and its management is essential. The candidate should have experience with journal entries. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. The candidate should be adept at performing month end close. Experience in monthly balance sheet reconciliation is a prerequisite. Knowledge of ADP - Payroll is desirable.
