Senior Director, Global Market Operations – SMB Acceptance Go-To-Market

Team background:Global Markets represents 100% of the revenue of the company, bringing together 5 of the Regional Presidents, 200+ markets, and all the key client-facing functions (e.g., Global Clients, Global Deals) who report to Visa’s global Group President.The Global Markets Operations team directly supports and works with Visa’s Group President as well as the Global Markets team in achieving its top priorities across an array of strategic and operational activities. The team has 3 main objectives: (1) ensuring a highly efficiency and efficacious operating model to enable Visa to reach its financial and operational goals, (2) enabling global best practice sharing and common alignment across all of Visa’s 5 regions and 200+ markets, (3) directly owning, leading, and executing key cross-functional strategic initiatives that are top-management priorities.Job Description and Responsibilities:Visa is seeking a strategic yet pragmatic, and results-oriented Senior Director to lead the  Long-Tail Acceptance Go-To-Market Center of Excellence (COE) on behalf of Global Markets.In this newly created role, you will design, launch, and operationalize Visa’s renewed focus on increasing acceptance and preference amongst SMB/Nano merchants worldwide accelerating/guiding product pilots, incubating new innovative solutions, and delivering integrated go-to-market strategies that span across cross-functional levers such as pricing/GE/marketing and more. This highly visible role will partner closely with product, sales, and other Global Market & Functional teams to drive key priorities and deliver measurable impact.The Senior Director will report to the Head of Global Markets Operations, and be an integrative member of the Global Markets Operations team.This role will begin as an individual contributor as we rapidly launch/stand-up the COE and deliver the Sales Play (by AMK) – but remit will most likely expand to include the hiring/management of a small yet high-impact team (to be co-shaped with Head of Global Markets Ops + Group President).Key ResponsibilitiesSet the Vision & Track ProgressOwn the 2030 Long-Tail Acceptance priority and define success metrics for FY26 OKRs and top priorities.Establish and track key objectives and results (OKRs) in partnership with Global Sales & Client Operations (GSCO), including development of SMB metrics.Serve as the point of accountability for global progress on long-tail acceptance initiatives.Develop and Deliver the Long-Tail Acceptance PlaybookLead development of a comprehensive playbook for client managers (CMs), covering the full range of go-to-market levers.Codify and scale global tiered economics programs, including graduation models, streamlined approvals, and insights from key pilots (such as Untapped and 10X).Utilize merchant archetypes to inform tailored go-to-market strategies.Author and maintain “Sales Play” content in Compass for frontline enablement.Product Go-To-Market (GTM) PartnershipAct as primary liaison with the Global Product organization (including the Head of Acceptance) to inform and deliver go-to-market strategies across Card Present (CP), Non-Card, and Value-Added Services (VAS) solutions.Accelerate delivery and support market selection for new product pilots (e.g., Visa Accept, Visa Pay), ensuring effective incubation and scaling.Identify and prioritize key market needs to influence product roadmaps and M&A activity, particularly new merchant VAS opportunities.This is a hybrid position.
