The Streets Division of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is responsible for designing, directing, and managing all transportation planning and engineering functions within San Francisco, including placement of signs, signals, traffic striping, parking meters, curb markings and delivering bicycle, pedestrian, and traffic calming projects. Our mission is to promote the safe and efficient multi-modal movement of people and goods and inviting streets and sidewalks for all who walk and use a bicycle throughout the City.
