Title: Java Technical Lead/Java Architect Location: San Francisco

Duration: 12 Month Contract to Hire

Job Descriptions:
  • Deep understanding full stack engineering (especially Microservices/SOA, "Containerizaton”, Polyglot Programming languages: Python Java etc.)
  • Must be strong in database technologies (RDBMS, noSQL, hadoop)
  • Must be strong in on-prem/cloud integrations and hybrid modes of operation.
  • Must be Strong Java/J2ee and Spring Framework.
  • Own the ERM (Engineering Roadmap) -> Environments, CI/CD, Tech Debt, Engineering Process Improvement
  • NFRs (Non functional requirements):
  • Able to effectively administer a NFR program (CI/CD, Performance/Scalability Testing, Monitorability (via AppDynamics and others), Log Management (via ELK and Splunk), Testability, Maintainability, Security etc.

Software Engineering:
  • Ensure that there is cohesion between Architecture, Design and Implementation in spirit and via metrics.
  • Well versed with software engineering practice and Automation and Sonar/Junit/Jenkins/CD and how to administer and measure an effective Code Review Program.

Automation:
  • Hands on and lead automated testing: (RestAssured, Selenium etc.)
  • Knowledge of Hybrid Cloud/Co-lo architecture, CI/CD and Automated Testing

Collaboration/Process:
  • Working experience in Agile based software development environment.
  • Maintains active relationships with Tech Leads; Digital Product Managers and Product Owners, Enterprise Architects to understand business requirements; leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the product owner. Engage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas, and new technologies, and help to create innovative solutions.
  • Recommend processes, services, software and other tools to support business objectives pertinent to user interfaces as well as infrastructure technologies.

People:
  • Help to hire to grow and maintain a world-class front-end engineering team
  • Mentor Mid-tier and DB Engineers.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
