Plumber + General Manager

We are a small, established service plumbing company in San Marcos serving within approx a 15 mile radius of our office. We are seeking a Service Manager to help lead our operations and provide top-notch service to our customers. This role is ideal for an experienced service plumber or someone with prior experience managing a service plumbing company.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling and dispatching service calls and plumbers, while addressing customer concerns and handling issues like callbacks. Work closely with a full-time Office Manager to ensure seamless coordination.

Customer Service: Resolve customer service issues, ensuring high satisfaction and timely completion of service requests. If problems arise or a customer is dissatisfied, you’ll handle the situation calmly and effectively.

Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze service performance, ensuring jobs are completed accurately and billed on time. Focus on maintaining steady revenue and cash flow.

Leadership & Support: Provide guidance and leadership to the plumbing team, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.

Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with customers, responding to concerns and resolving any issues.

Site Management: Conduct regular site visits to check on job progress, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Safety & Development: Hold routine safety meetings, address areas for improvement, and work closely with plumbers to support their growth and development.

Fleet Management: Maintain a fleet of company vehicles, ensuring they receive regular maintenance and repairs. Keep them stocked and organized for the plumbers’ use.

Requirements:

Experience: At least 10 years of experience as a service plumber with a proven track record of quality work. You’ll have the ability to handle any service call but can delegate tasks as needed.

Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
