Job Description: The Commercial Food Equipment Service Tech provides customer service in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment.
Responsibilities:
Properly troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and/or HVAC equipment.
Provides the highest level of service to the customer and professionally communicate the service needed to customers and branch office.
Defines service problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions about work needed to be performed.
Legibly completes paperwork for all services performed on behalf of the customer.
Consults with the Parts Department to get needed parts ordered.
Communicates with manufacturers as needed to help with diagnosing problems with equipment.
Installs parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner.
Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
Maintains a neat and orderly truck, along with accurate parts and tool inventory.
Maintains productivity levels in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications:
High school graduate/GED or the equivalent
Three (3) years of experience in food service equipment repair, or in a related area. (Will consider ex-military)
Background experience in gas, electric, and/or steam repairs is a plus.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Own industry’s standard hand tools.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must be motivated, a self-started, and able to follow through on duties and assignments with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work rotational on-call as needed.
Must be a problem solver.
