Job Overview: We’re seeking a motivated and skilled Advanced Pipe Layer to join our team! This role requires an experienced individual who is proficient in all aspects of underground utility (water, sewer, storm) installation and repairs, with a commitment to safety and teamwork. As part of our crew, you will take on various tasks to support project needs, including general labor, pipe handling, and trench work.
Responsibilities:
Ensure personal safety and contribute to a safe work environment.
Support other team members with general labor tasks such as:
Digging thrust blocks
Stringing pipe
Sweeping streets
Assisting with grading trenches and laying pipe
Cut and bevel pipe
Cleaning and organizing the truck and tools.
Gain proficiency in setting up lasers, reading stakes, grading trenches, and working with minimal guidance from the Foreman.
Required Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in new underground utility installation or related field.
Strong understanding of utility installation, repair methods, and the ability to work independently and safely.
Ability to read and understand stakes, set up lasers, and perform grading tasks (willing to train).
Team-oriented attitude with a dedication to supporting coworkers and assisting with additional tasks as needed.
Must be able to speak and read English.
