Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Technician to take ownership of projects across all low voltage services. While this role includes work with security cameras, alarms, gates, and automatic doors, we are especially focused on strong access control expertise. The ideal candidate has proven experience installing, wiring, and troubleshooting access control systems, including electrified hardware such as strikes, mag locks, and electrified exit trims. Experience as a door technician or locksmith and knowledge of ADA automatic door operators are a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage installation crews across low voltage services

Install, configure, and troubleshoot:

Access control systems (panels, readers, software, mobile credentials)

Electrified hardware (strikes, mag locks, trims, door operators)

Security cameras, CCTV, and video surveillance systems

Alarm systems

Automatic gates, vehicle gate operators, and entry systems

Automatic doors and ADA operators

Serve as the go-to field expert for access control installations and troubleshooting

Train and mentor junior technicians

Complete projects on time, on budget, and to COR standards

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, riser drawings, and hardware schedules

Document installations, service work, and configurations

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of low voltage installation experience, including:

Access control system installation and configuration

Troubleshooting and repairing access control hardware and software

Wiring and installing electrified door hardware

Security camera and CCTV installation, video surveillance networking

Automatic gate operator and vehicle gate systems

Automatic door installation, including ADA operators

Leadership experience overseeing installation crews

Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred

Manufacturer certifications (Brivo, Verkada, HID, Command Access, Allegion, LiftMaster, etc.)

Experience in HOA, commercial, or multi-site environments
