Animal Physical Rehabilitation

Looking for an individual with a good eye for movement and an understanding of how bodies move through space. My veterinary practice provides underwater treadmill therapy and land based exercise for dogs and cats with arthritis, those recovering from or trying to avoid surgery, and those with neurologic issues. I am looking for someone who enjoys and has experience working with dogs (mostly) and who can break down movements to understand what is normal, what is abnormal, and what needs to be done to move my patients back toward the normal end of the movement spectrum. Training will be provided regarding operation of the underwater treadmill and how to evaluate an animal's performance while in the treadmill. Training will also be provided regarding performing exercises with my pet patients and teaching those exercises to pet owners. This position requires that you be comfortable speaking with and teaching pet owners during their hour long appointments. There will also be cross-training on phones, calendars, and charging clients out. This is a very physical position. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and get up and down from the floor frequently.
