Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Shipping and Handling Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of packages, handling logistics processes, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities:
Receive, sort, and process incoming shipments accurately
Prepare packages for shipment, including proper packaging and labeling
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies
Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding shipping inquiries
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in shipping and handling preferred
Familiarity with shipping software and systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically able to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds
