You’ll love this role if…

You enjoy solving logistical puzzles and finding the fastest, most efficient route

You enjoy working behind the scenes but love seeing how your work directly impacts customers

You believe clear communication is key to keeping things on track

You want to be part of a small but mighty team that values creativity, communication, and mutual respect

Your Role:

As the Shipping Assistant, you’ll be responsible for preparing, tracking, and managing outbound shipments. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure that all orders are delivered on time. This position requires precision, strong data processing skills, and the ability

to communicate clearly with both clients and shipping carriers.

This role is critical to the success of Lucky You. Our attention to detail in the shipping process is one of the key ways we stand out from competitors. When we deliver on time, communicate clearly, and provide accurate tracking, we make our clients’ jobs easier and strengthen the long-term partnerships that drive our business forward.

This is a part-time (12–20 hours/week) role, scheduled Monday through Friday, with a hybrid work structure, beginning at 9 AM daily. Days that involve printing, label prep, or production coordination will require in-office presence at our Barrio Logan office, while days

focused on tracking shipments, emailing clients, and organizing data can be performed remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and format large shipping files from customers

Import Excel/CSV address files into FedEx and UPS shipping software

Generate and organize shipping labels by transit day and pallet count

Provide the clients with Master Tracking files

Create checklists to confirm no labels are missing

Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries

Track and ensure successful deliveries

File claims for late or lost shipments

Send daily email updates to customers on order progress

Prepare Canadian customs documents and shipping cost estimates

All shipments billed to the correct client account with UPS or FedEx

Processing company online store orders

Key Outcomes:

All shipments are delivered on time, with accurate data, and billed correctly

Clients are proactively informed of their order status throughout the delivery process

Shipping data is well-organized and maintained with 100% accuracy

Positive and professional interactions are maintained with all vendors and clients

Skills You’ll Need to Thrive:

Advanced Excel skills. You’re comfortable working with large spreadsheets, using formulas, and managing CSV files accurately.

Strong organizational abilities. You can manage multiple shipping schedules, label batches, and deadlines without missing a detail.

Clear and professional communication. You can correspond effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams both verbally and in writing.

Quick learner. Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping platforms is a plus, but not required—you're confident picking up new systems.

Dependable under pressure. You stay composed and focused when timelines are tight and priorities shift.

Collaborative mindset. You’re comfortable working independently, but you contribute positively to a team-focused work environment.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or operations is helpful, but not required

College degree or relevant college courses are a plus

Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Shipping Manager and Shopify are a plus

Perks & Benefits:

Competitive hourly pay ($23–$26/hour)
