A Roofing company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our growing construction and roofing company. This role requires strong bookkeeping skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks independently while keeping financial records accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Accounting
Record financial transactions and maintain ledgers
Generate and manage customer invoices
Process accounts payable/receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Pay vendors and independent contractors
Track expenses and maintain balance spreadsheets
Assist with payroll entries
Prepare quarterly California tax reports
Collaborate with CPA on year-end filings
Office & Admin Support -
Maintain organized financial records (digital and hard copy)
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and job cost tracking
Communicate with vendors regarding payments and balances
Respond to finance-related emails and phone calls
Track and follow up on outstanding balances
Requirements:
2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction experience a plus)
Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace
Knowledge of California state tax compliance and basic payroll processes
Strong organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to work independently and with integrity
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
Work Schedule:
In-Office: 2 days per week (4 hours/day) at our San Diego location
Remote: 1 day per week (4 hours from home)
Total: 12 hours/week
