Well established Finish Carpentry company is seeking an Experienced Door and Trim Estimator.
Candidate must have two (2) year previous Estimating/Project Management Experience.
Requirements: Previous Estimating/Project Management experience, previous experience with Finish Carpentry would be a huge plus.
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Prepare estimates for management team for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Compare cost comparisons and assist in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
Establish and maintain tendering process and negotiations.
Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to affect cost reduction.
Follow the company’s filing and scanning system to ensure information is stored safely and correctly.
Analyze budgets, financial. and technical data for various projects.
Maintain, prepare, and analyze financial reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
Read and understand construction specifications, engineering data and reports.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on cost benefit analysis techniques and statistical cost estimation methods.
Bid on engineering, construction, and extraction projects.
Create cost estimates including materials/labor, production costs, time, installation, repair for construction and engineering projects.
Work with external customers and vendors to develop and build lasting business relationships.
Ability to pass a Pre-employment drug test
Ability to sit, bend, and stoop for more than 6 hours per day
Ability to type, write and use hands for more than 6 hours per day
