We are looking for an EXPERIENCED DMV Clerk. If you know what that is and can handle the responsibilities, then we want to talk to you. We are a fast paced DMV registration service and as such, our approach and culture is more fun and laid back than typical DMV . We're good people and a good team and we want to add to that. Ideal candidates are DMV clerks or business office associates from other dealerships or registration services. Former or current DMV employees, or managers at the California DMV are invited to apply.

Position Summary: The DMV Clerk processes all vehicle registration transactions, verifies VIN's, and accounts for all costs incurred in each deal. Major plus if said person can also sale other products and services the company offers. Role will also be expected to help in miscellaneous tasks the company has.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare title documents

Submit all transfer documents to the DMV.

Prepare sales receipts for each specific transaction

Prepare daily reports for customer service follow up

Interact with customers to communicate required tasks

Track deals to ensure they are cleared in a timely manner

Initiate sales calls to facilitate meeting daily sales goals

Track DMV inventory

Audit DMV transactions to ensure accuracy of the money and personal data

Hours: Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 9am to 6pm and be available to work every other Saturday 9am-3pm (There are no exceptions to this work schedule)

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A through understanding of AVRS, Dealer track, or DMV desk is desired.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales agreements, tax and title documents, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, & Registration:

Current, valid, driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required. VIN Verification License and BPA authorization is a plus

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and use a computer. The employee frequently is required to talk, hear and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
