We are Ocean Beach Pallet Co., a growing small business that manufactures wooden furniture such as coffee tables, vinyl record holders, and entertainment centers shipping nationwide. This is a full-time position.

Location: 316 Millar Ave, El Cajon CA 92020

Hours for working are typically Monday- Friday between 7 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. (30 minute lunch) . Employee must commit to working a minimum of 30 hours (40 hours preferred) per week in a positive fast paced environment.

This position is responsible for cleaning, learning, screwing, sanding, leveling, assembling, staining, painting, finishing, and packaging. In this position, you will be using power tools such as drills, impacts, drill presses, and power sanders. You will also be safely lifting and constantly moving heavy/bulky wooden units around the work area. You will learn woodworking skills progressively, finishing, and packaging and do this daily. As your knowledge improves you will take on more difficult builds and operate machinery.

-Safety and caution while working and using power tools and machinery

-Using skills in woodworking in order to complete all aspects of product manufacturing

-Maintaining a positive, team-player mentality, while working in a fast-paced environment

-Eager to learn and develop skills in all aspects of product manufacturing

-Working constantly with hands and physically moving medium-heavy units

-Being at work on time and ready to work

What you bring to the table:

-Strong attention to detail, organization, focus, communication, and ability to work quickly independently and in a team environment

-Accepting constructive criticism (this is very important as we are constantly improving our methods to make you and the company better overall)

-Must be able to physically lift and maneuver units that weigh anywhere on average 80lbs and in some rare instances 120 lbs+

-Desire to learn woodworking and to be part of a fast-growing company with potential opportunities to develop as the business grows

-Must be able to show up to work on time/when scheduled (Be punctual & have reliable transportation)

Warning: This type of work isn’t for everyone. It is hard work at a pretty fast pace. It requires your full focus while working with your hands. There are sawdust, stain, dangerous tools, and occasional splinters, but it is very rewarding because you are constantly learning new skills, get to build quality furniture with your hands, all while working in a team environment.
