Set up and operate machines, run job orders as specified, and bundle wires. Understand and follow cut sheets/job orders. Routinely perform quality and quantity checks and verify for accuracy. Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for long periods of time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cutting: Operate wire cutting machinery to cut wires of various sizes using wire cut lists.
Measuring and bundling: Examines, measures material to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices, such as rulers, micrometers, or scales.
Storing and staging: Store and stage wire and cable to meet company standards.
Quality control: Examine wire for defects and remove any that don't meet specifications.
Equipment operation: Operate wire cutting equipment, reels, and material handling equipment. Perform minor machine maintenance.
Safety: Follow safety rules and address safety concerns.
Communication: Communicate when wire cutting tasks are complete.
