Pelican Packaging, a high-tech semiconductor processing and small component packaging company, has immediate openings for a skilled electromechanical technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for setting up and maintaining pick and place machines.
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following:
Setup and calibrate pick and place machines.
Install and adjust tooling as needed for optimal performance. CNC machining knowledge is preferred to make tooling modification with engineering.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine operation.
Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machines in good working condition.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machines.
Train operators on proper machine setup and operation procedures.
Requirement:
Excellent mechanical know-how.
Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Ability to respond promptly and effectively to changes in situation.
Beneficial experience:
Tunning and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment.
Wiring and troubleshooting of I/O’s and motors.
CNC machining.
Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) vision systems.
FMEA, Process Control, 8D CAR, and 5S.
Familiarity with Solid Works for creating and modifying drawings.
Tech school certifications.
