We are a small catastrophic/serious injury litigation/trial firm. We do not work on volume, we are not bus bench or billboard lawyers, or a settlement mill. We handle approximately 20 case at a time. We help legitimately injured people get full/fair compensation for their harm. Our awesome paralegal had to leave after 10 years due to personal issues, so we are in immediate need of an experienced litigation/trial paralegal. You don't need tons of experience in PI, but definitely need to know litigation/trial support. I think at least 5 years of solid civil litigation experience is ideal
You would not be mistreated by attorneys, your work would be valued, and your pay would demonstrate our appreciation for your commitment and dedication to the job. We pay bonuses when the firm does well, typically many thousands of dollars per year, along with your base hourly wage - which would depend on experience.
The offices is a fairly relaxed environment, we don't micro-manage and do not want to micro-manage. If you know how to handle basic discovery, writing letters, getting/sorting medical records, court filings, serving documents, obtaining police reports, trial prep/support, etc. this could be the right place for you!
Office is located North San Diego. Seeking FULL TIME, no remote working (at least initially, possibly hybrid if right fit), 401K and profit sharing offering, paralegal would be working with 2 attorneys. No billing requirements as this is a contingency fee PI firm. Other benefits are negotiable, and can be decided after a probationary period of 90 days if you are the right fit!
Salary/wage will depend on experience, but minimum $30/hour plus bonuses as mentioned above. We don't expect you to work more than 40 hours/week (8 hours/day).
