We are a small boutique firm seeking a dynamic candidate for our legal assistant position.
Responsibilities include:
Checking and responding promptly and professionally to all emails
Answering and directing all phone calls appropriately
Maintain the attorney's calendar
Bookkeeping and billing using QuickBooks (QuickBooks experience preferred)
Client intakes/screening
Maintain online file system
Proofread and edit legal documents
File and serve legal documents
Prepare form legal filings
Assist in trial preparation including evidence production
Maintain client and opposing counsel communications
Skills and Qualifications:
Prior legal assistant
Punctual
Positive
Understanding of legal process
Good work ethic
Good communication skills
Strong writing abilities
Team player
Self motivated
High level of organization
Detail oriented
Proficient in basic computer programs such as Email, WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Excel
Proficient in QuickBooks
Computer savvy
Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
Seeking someone with a minimum of 1-2 years of legal administrative assistance experience
This is an in person job within regular work hours. We are conveniently located off of Hwy 78
