Sorrento Valley growing business and real estate boutique firm is looking to hire a contract attorney to assist the managing attorney with a range of legal matters. This is a flexible opportunity for a detail-oriented and reliable attorney looking to contribute 5–10 hours per week.
Areas of Practice:
1. Transactional Work:
Business entity formations (LLCs, Corporations, Nonprofits)
Contract drafting & review (Independent Contractor, Operating, Shareholder, Employment Agreements)
M&A transactions (buyer/seller representation, drafting & negotiating deal docs)
General counsel support for startups (advisory, compliance, contract matters)
2. Pre-Litigation Support:
Drafting demand letters for contract breaches, collections, and real estate disputes
3. Litigation:
Breach of contract lawsuits and related litigation support
Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing with California State Bar.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Prior experience in transactional work and/or litigation preferred.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
This role is ideal for solo practitioners, stay-at-home parents, or attorneys seeking supplemental income. Prior law firm experience is a plus.
