Part Time Plant Packer
Roles & Responsibilities:
Show up for scheduled shifts with a positive attitude ready to work on feet for the entire shift.
Know how to read orders and packaging slip Bonus: Be able to identify the plants and see if the right plants are matching the packing slips
Take direction from Lead
Work in a collaborative environment
Be excited and happy to work for a small growing business where you know the owners and enjoy connecting with a small staff
Strategically packs plants in a timely manner while ensuring plants are packed to arrive at destination safely with no damage
Follow general protocol for packing plants while also being creative and adjusting that protocol to best fit the plant being packed
Use problem solving skills to adjust the different plants. Understand that all plants are unique and may have to be handled in a specific way to ensure that it arrives undamaged to its reciprocation.
Each shift usually consists of packing a total of 30 boxes anywhere from 50-75 plants in a day.
Keep the packing area clean to maximize the amount of packages that can get packaged in one day. Cleaning at the end of the shift to prepare the space for the next packer.
Other tasks include;
Water plants in greenhouses
Unloading plants and organizing them in greenhouses
Tending to yard work to keep the grounds tidy
Monday- Thursday 9-5
