Job Title: Lead Mobile Auto Detailing Technician (Future Operations Manager)

Location: La Mesa, CA - Serving San Diego County

Position Type: Part-time, or Flexible Hours Available. (Work towards full time position)

Hourly Rate: Based on Experience + Performance Pay Commission

We are a fast-growing mobile auto detailing company looking for an experienced, motivated, and reliable Lead Mobile Auto Detailing Technician who is eager to help build our brand and grow into a future Operations Manager as the business expands. Key Responsibilities:

Lead Technician Responsibilities: As the Lead Mobile Auto Detailing Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing all detailing jobs, from start to finish. This includes washing, detailing, polishing vehicles, and applying ceramic coatings.

Customer Communication: Answer client calls, send detailed estimates, and schedule appointments. Ensure clear communication about job expectations, service options, and timing.

Lead & Train Junior Technicians: As we grow, you’ll help onboard and train new team members, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality and customer service.

Performance Monitoring: Help maintain high customer satisfaction by promoting 5-star reviews and encouraging repeat business. You will also receive bonuses for 5 star reviews.

Checklists & Documentation: Ensure every job is completed to a high standard by following a detailed checklist. Take high-quality photos of completed work and upload them to job files for tracking.

Restocking & Maintenance: Maintain the detailing van, restocking it with chemicals, water, and tools to ensure you're always ready for the next job.

Future Growth Opportunity: As the business grows, you’ll be in line to transition into an Operations Manager role, where you’ll be responsible for managing daily operations, scheduling, coordinating the team, and further developing the business.

Performance Pay:

The opportunity to earn performance-based commissions through 5-star reviews, job completions, and your contribution to client satisfaction. The better you perform, the more you earn!

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record: A valid ID and a clean driving record are required to drive our company van. This is a key requirement due to our insurance policy.

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry detailing tools and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Experience: Previous experience as an auto detailing technician is required, with a strong knowledge of how to use DA polishers, apply ceramic coatings, and perform full interior and exterior vehicle detailing.

Strong Leadership & Communication Skills: As a lead technician, as our team grows you’ll need strong leadership skills to guide and motivate others. Excellent communication is essential in customer-facing interactions and when training new team members.

Attention to Detail & SOP Compliance: You’ll need to follow established procedures and ensure every vehicle is detailed to our high standards.

Positive, Friendly Attitude: We pride ourselves on our customer service. You should be professional, friendly, and reliable to make a lasting positive impression.
