Construction Project Manager

Responsible for project managing commercial construction food service projects and is the primary contact for the client from final design through turnover. Must be able to build a positive relationship with general contractors and all support staff.

Position Responsibilities and Functions

Make sure projects stay on the specified time schedule, budget, meet quality standards, and follow safety standards.

Manage daily operational aspects of project and scope including receiving and delivery of supplies and equipment for each job.

Oversee the progress of the construction site once or more on a weekly basis.

Review and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing locations with specific contractors and/or sub-contractors.

Review, coordinate, and release all vendor shop drawings to appropriate contractors and sub­ contractors.

Be able to modify plans as needed and communicate all changes to the support team, laborers, client, and to relevant contactors/ sub-contractors.

Develop and submit change orders to the General Contractor and the client.

Coordinate and schedule sub-contractors with the General Contractor.

Manage and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly installation activities with the inhouse install teams and sub-contractors.

Coordinate with General Contractor / Owners and all other traded to ensure scope of work is completed on time, to scope and budget.

Basic Skills and Requirements

Responsible for understanding and complying with company processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Professional phone and office etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to plan and lead team meetings.

Strong organization skills with attention to details.

Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and complete work in a timely manner.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Ability to read blueprints.

Clean driving record required.

Ability to bend, lift, push, pull, and carry a maximum of 100 pounds.

2-5 years of commercial food experience preferred.

1-2 years of project management/construction management a plus. Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
