Job description:
Yearly Salary + Monthly Sales Target Bonus. Asado Gaucho is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations at our Liberty Public Market stall. You’ll oversee food prep, manage staff, and ensure top-quality execution of our Argentine fire-grilled menu.
Responsibilities:
Oversee kitchen operations during service and prep shifts
Lead by example in cooking and prepping core menu items
Train and supervise team members on procedures, cleanliness, and station setup
Manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation
Ensure food safety, portion control, and quality standards
Drive efficiency and support a smooth front- and back-of-house flow
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Lead, or similar
Comfortable working both line and prep stations
Strong leadership and training ability
Organized, dependable, and focused on quality and consistency
Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
