The Opportunity:
JuneShine is seeking a part-time talented line cook to join our team. In this role, you'll not only create exceptional dishes but also contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of our cafe. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality, timely food production in an open kitchen environment while engaging with our customers. The cafe will operate Wednesday through Sunday, from 12 PM to 8 PM.

In This Role You Will:
Manage a specific kitchen station; grill, fry or expediting
Prepare and set up your station for service, ensuring appropriate stock for the anticipated volume
Follow recipes accurately, maintaining consistency of quality, presentation, and portion in every dish
Cook menu items efficiently, coordinating with kitchen staff for timely service
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to complete orders promptly
Maintain a clean, organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards
Properly store, label, and manage inventory of food items and prep materials
Assist in large-scale food preparation and recipe development
Communicate effectively with the head chef and team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Participate in nightly kitchen breakdown and cleaning duties
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, assisting colleagues as needed
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff as it relates to out-of-stock items, ticket times, and allergens
Report any potential quality control issues to Regional Manager, Hospitality
Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures
Additional duties as assigned
Must Haves:
Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
1 year minimum of professional experience in a similar or relatable role
Experience with food prep and cooking for large-scale catering events
Available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays and fill in as needed
Valid Food Handler's certification is required prior to the start date
Passion for hospitality and a genuine love for building relationships and interacting with people
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Strong organizational and communication skills
Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods and lift up to 75 pounds
Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
Compensation: Part-Time, Hourly ($20-$23) + tips, Non-Exempt
