North County Venues by Grind and Prosper Hospitality are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and handling, with a strong understanding of menu planning and catering. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Assist in menu planning and development, providing input based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Participate in catering events, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest quality for guests.
Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within food service or fine dining environments.
Knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and catering practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus but not required.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
