A hostel is different than a hotel because we offer shared accommodation. Most of our guests have one bed in a dormitory style room with bunk beds. We also offer a limited number of private rooms.
We are looking to add a new member to our Housekeeping Team! The position is full time, 5 days a week, Sunday-Thursday. (40 hours per week). The shift is generally 9am-5pm, but we are flexible if you would prefer a 10am start time. For this position, we are looking for someone who could start as soon as Monday, 6/24/2024 .
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning private rooms and dorm rooms; making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, etc.
Cleaning shared bathrooms; showers, toilets, sinks, etc. This job is not for you if you are afraid of vomit or a dirty toilet.
Wash and fold hostel laundry; sheets, towels
Keep our common areas tidy; wiping down tables, fluffing throw pillows, emptying ash trays, sweeping, cleaning our kitchen, etc.
Assist our other housekeepers with rooms; bring supplies, prepare clean sheets, etc.
Other things to note:
Housekeeping experience is a plus but not required
Bilingual, Spanish speakers preferred but also not required
