BOH POSITION - DISHWASHER
CATEGORY: Dishwasher Full-Time
STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
LOCATION: Oceanside, CA
START DATE: ASAP
COMPENSATION: $18/hr plus tips = about 21$/hr
Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated, organized Dishwasher to join our team at 24 SUNS. The dishwasher’s duties include washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment and preparation or production areas. They will restock items, sweep and scrub floors, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties as needed. The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area. This individual should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. They should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of 24 SUNS
-Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment using dishwasher or by hand
-Keep dishwasher clean and maintained, and immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to the Kitchen Manager
-Monitor dishwasher water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
-Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
-Place clean dry dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
-Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
-Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
-Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition
-Clean food preparation and production areas as required
-Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
-Clean garbage cans with water and soap
-Sweep and scrub floors
-Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas
-Coordinate with, and assist, fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant
Qualifications & Skills
-Previous work experience as a Dishwasher
-Valid Food Handler’s Card
-Attention to detail and sanitation rules
-Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
-Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
-Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
-Exceptional time management skills
-Strong problem-solving and communication skills
-Physical ability and stamina to stand and walk for long hours
FOH POSITION - SERVER
CATEGORY: Server Part-time
STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: Oceanside, CA
START DATE: ASAP
COMPENSATION: $18/hr plus tips
Position Summary:
24 SUNS is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Server. Proven restaurant serving experience. Hands-on experience in cashier duties. Attention to cleanliness and safety. Patience and customer-oriented approach. People skills with a friendly attitude. Responsible and trustworthy. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences
-Food server/bartender responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when members/guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages
-Provide excellent customer service
-Maintain a thorough knowledge of ingredients and cooking methods used in the restaurant
-Greet members/customers and present menus
-Make suggestions based on guest preferences
-Act as a guide for the guest experience, providing personalized service and ensuring a memorable dining experience
-Arrange table settings and keep tables clean and tidy at all times
-Deliver checks and collect payments
-Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff
-Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
-Previous work experience in fine dining
-Valid Food Handler’s Card
-Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
