This is a casual, grant funded position which is subject to renewal on June 30, 2026.JOB SUMMARY:The Supervisor for Youth Development Programs is responsible for program management and administration of program activities and contractual requirements for CHC programs, including the FACES for the Future, the Medical Academies, and other programs as assigned. The Supervisor will work with the CHC Director in setting strategic directions; planning, developing and evaluating programs, and managing all aspects of program implementation to include day-to-day operations, data collection, supervision of staff, interns and volunteers, budget monitoring and compliance with grant and/or regulatory requirements. The Supervisor will prepare grant applications and reports and develop communications and marketing materials to support the programs and services. The Supervisor will represent Rady Children's Hospital in both internal and external collaboratives and develop and maintain relationships with key partners for the purpose of improving educational and health outcomes for children in the region.The Supervisor of Youth Development Programs at Rady Children's Hospital is housed within the Center for Healthier Communities. This position provides direct oversight to the FACES for the Future Program and the Medical Academies hosted throughout the year. FACES for the Future is a healthcareer pathway program embedded in two high schools and provides clinical support for a third high school. This program provides academic support, leadership development, wellness support and clinical observation experiencs. The Medical Academies are composed of two, 2-week long summer Medical Academies which immerses students into various healthcare professions, and 3 weekend Medical Academies which immerse students into a specific healthcare field such as nursing, mental health and physician assistants. This position will supervise coordinators within these programs as well as seasonal interns. The Supervisor is responsible for building and sustaining budgets and funding for these programs and for writing and submitting grant proposals. In addition, the Supervisorwill work with the Director of the Center to design and implement, new and innovative programs for the advancment of youth in our community. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, the ability to lead a diverse team of coordinators and work collaboratively with community partners. The Supervisor will be responsible for data collection and analysis to demonstrate community impact and continual process and quality improvement. Experience in both healthcare and education is preferred.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree5 Years of ExperienceCA Driver's LicenseProof of Auto InsuranceExcellent oral and written communication skills; experience in public speaking and trainingExperience and passion for working in youth programsKnowledge of education and learning theoriesAbility to work with diverse individuals and organizationsExperience developing, supervising, and evaluating staffDemonstrated experience in program development, implementation, evaluation, grant writing and grant management, including budget management and reportingDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learningPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree10+ Years of ExperienceMasters degree in related field of study: education, social work, or public healthExperience working in the school systemExperience in work force developmentThe expected hiring range for this position is $32.51 to $44.70Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
