Description Robert Half is seeking highly experienced tax professionals for multiple contract roles with our esteemed clients in the San Diego area. These opportunities are ideal for senior-level preparers with a deep understanding of tax regulations and the ability to manage complex tax filings during the upcoming tax season.Responsibilities:
Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, small businesses, partnerships, and corporations (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).
Conduct advanced tax research and resolve sophisticated tax issues.
Advise clients on tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes.
Ensure compliance with the latest federal, state, and local tax laws.
Collaborate with accounting teams and provide mentorship to junior staff as needed.
Maintain impeccable accuracy and confidentiality in high-volume environments.
Requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of professional tax preparation experience, including high-volume and complex returns.
Extensive knowledge of federal and California tax regulations.
Advanced proficiency with tax software such as Lacerte, UltraTax, or ProSeries.
CPA or EA certification strongly preferred.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced settings with minimal oversight.
