JOB SUMMARY:Independently evaluates and diagnoses the communication and functional ability of patients through administration and interpretation of standardized tests, clinical observation, and patient/family interview. Creates individualized treatment and educational plans and provides patient/family counseling. Develops and implements innovative and specific treatment plans to maximize the patient's functional potential, based on clinical findings. Consults with medical team and allied health professionals and documents all pertinent clinical findings to render a comprehensive, family-based intervention plan.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Master's Degree1 Year of ExperienceASHA - Speech Lang PathBLS for Health Providers (AHA)Speech Lang Pathologist LicAbility and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented decisions within the context of patient care and department, division, and organizational priorities.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bilingual English/SpanishSpecialty certification in Speech Pathology advanced practicePediatric experienceThe expected hiring range for this position is $43.57 to $59.91Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
