job summary:

Our client, a gaming studio with one of the most anticipated games launching next year, is in need of a talented Senior Quest Designer. Someone who has previous experience in the industry as a game designer, preferably in projects that involve 3rd person action combat. Expertise of the video game culture and knowledge of games in addition to expertise with Unreal Engine 4!

location: San Diego, California

job type: Permanent

salary: $90,000 - 150,000 per year

work hours: 8am to 4pm

education: No Degree Required

responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the leads and game team to create fun and interesting narrative experiences
  • Design, write, and implement epic quests and events
  • Design, wireframe and champion implementation tools
  • Stay on the bleeding edge of modern design and gameplay philosophies
  • Write design documentation, and keep current documentation on quests, characters, and functionality
  • Proactively find problems with gameplay and brainstorm solutions
  • Mentor and guide junior designers along their path toward mastery
