Outstanding manufacturing company seeks Jr. Buyer / Expeditor to join outstanding team. This position will make an important impact in the support of Company's customers. The Jr. Buyer / Expeditor will support the procurement and supply chain team by assisting with purchasing activities, expediting orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. The Jr. Buyer / Expeditor works closely with suppliers, internal departments, and Company buyers to support production schedules, cost control, and inventory requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchase electronic components for use by our Engineering Department.
Follow-up on purchase requisitions (PRs) to make sure delivery is on time.
Process engineering PRs for validation of parts and for testing facilities.
Process company PRs for office supplies and facility items (soap, tissue paper, pens and paper etc.).
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
Track shipments.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of all procurement-related work.
Assist in purge notices as necessary.
Support Buyers by handling day-to-day administrative tasks.
Assist in other areas as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Preferred Requirements:
Minimum 6 months to 1 year of purchase expediting experience preferred.
Prior customer service experience preferred.
Computer/High-tech manufacturing experience a plus.
QAD experience a plus
