Job DescriptionProvide high quality standards and procedures in preparing/serving all banquet food. Responsibilities
Assist in preparation and production of all banquet hot and cold foods.
Assist in preparation of employee meals and guest meals according to menu standards.
Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
Assist in the lowering of food cost and waste: label, date, and rotate product.
Coordinate with Executive Chef, Banquet Chef & Sous Chef to ensure food quality and consistency.
Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times.
Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply in a timely manner.
Assist in producing food for other outlets upon request.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid San Diego County Food Handler’s certificate is required
Minimum 2 years banquet culinary experience is required.
Experience in a high volume upscale, hotel banquet operation is preferred.
Must be familiar with all cooking techniques, batch, and quantity cooking.
Advanced knife skills are required.
M ust have the ability to multi-task.
Ability and willingness to work a f lexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $27.20/hour The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience
