The Unified Esports League (UESL) (www.unifiedesl.com) is hiring for its in person position at its Gaming and Technology Center in Ramona, CA.

About Unified Esports League:

UESL is an organization that provides gaming and technology education for people from all walks of life. UESL utilizes video games and various forms of technology to help people enrich their lives, explore their passion, and develop skills through the use of technology.

Position: Gaming &Technology Coach - Special Needs Program

You will be working with people that have intellectual or developmental disabilities. We are looking for candidates that are passionate about helping people with IDD grow and live full, successful lives. Experience with this population professionally or in your personal life is very helpful in consideration for this position.

This position requires familiarity with and the ability to learn various forms of video games and technology. Experience with and the ability to learn platforms such as Windows, Mac, Google Docs, Nintendo Switch, Meta Oculus, and others are required for consideration in this position. Please specify in your submission to us your level of experience with these platforms and your ability/willingness to learn how to utilize & teach these tools. You do not need to have mastery in all of these areas, but familiarity and an ability to learn is necessary.

Responsibilities:

-Create lesson plans and provide guidance for all coaches within program to enhance client skills

-Ensure that all responsibilities within day-to-day program function are being carried out appropriately (coach interactions, equipment upkeep, opening and closing of Gaming and Technology Center, etc.)

-Ensure client progress reports are completed and turned in on time for all coaches

-Communicate with UESL managers periodically regarding client progress, overall staff and program function

-Help UESL clients learn about technology and gaming

-Assist participants in making friends, communicating with others, and being part of a strong, healthy community

-Curate and support a healthy and positive environment that facilitates learning and fun

-Learn about gaming & STEAM technology that UESL utilizes

-Record data and create client progress reports

-Manage behavior in classroom to ensure positive learning experience for all participants Be punctual, hard working, reliable, and trustworthy

-Attend periodic team meetings

-Dress appropriately for school/educational setting

Rate:

$22/hr

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 3:30-6:00 PM, you are paid 2.5 hours for each shift, all employees are W2 employees.

Location:

Ramona, CA 92019 (off of Hanson Lane)
