Family run French Pastry Café seeks a sales associate with the ability to work as a
barista, server, and cashier. Will require work in a rather fast paced environment where
a strong voice and team cooperation will be crucial in maintaining a smooth and
consistent service for the clientele.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude
- Memorize the prices and fillings of baked goods and pastries to aid in selling
- Make a variety of espresso drinks
- Understand how to safely operate, clean, and maintain all equipment used on a daily basis
- Interact with a widely varying demographic of customer in a respectful and positive manner enable to facilitate and increase sales
- Prepare to keep the workspace (behind the counter and the dining room) clean to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all staff and customers
Qualifications / Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred
- Public speaking skills
- Customer service experience (ie. retail, restaurant)
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Flexible with working hours
- High performing in more stressful situations (ie. lunch rush)
- Proficient in multitasking
- Familiarity with working in a team oriented workspace
