Position: Bookkeeper
Location: HYBRID (Mostly Remote with occasional on-site meetings in La Jolla)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This mostly remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to our financial operations from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including transactions, ledgers, and accounts.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency with internal records.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments and accounts.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to support financial operations.
Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Prior experience in the real estate or mortgage / lending industry is a plus.
