CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING/PAYROLL

Small construction office seeks a skilled, analytical, detail-oriented, and ethical person to fill an accounting/payroll position in our office. The position will wear many hats and requires recent working knowledge of full-cycle construction accounting processes, in-house payroll, certified payroll, and labor compliance for public works projects. This position will also take lead and oversee administrative office functions. Candidates with 10+ years’ recent construction experience preferred. Must be trustworthy, extremely meticulous, self-directed, proactive, and able to follow through with assigned tasks. Prefer recent working knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor, A/P, A/R, billing, subcontracts, job-costing, purchase orders, preliminary notices, lien releases, bank, and credit card reconciliations, etc. Must be able to write and draft emails grammatically correct. Must have strong construction background. Must be able to show up on time and maintain a good attendance record. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. We participate in e-Verify. $40-45.00/hour DOE. For the right candidate, this role may lead to a salaried Accounting Manager/Controller position.
