East County subcontractor seeking to fill a Construction Accounting/Payroll Administrator position. Candidates with 10+ years previous construction accounting experience a must! Looking for someone long-term, who is interested in a career, not just a paycheck, and someone who wants more of a management role in the future. The right candidate will be hard-working and have an excellent work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to maintain clear and accurate financial records. Must be ethical and trustworthy. Must be sharp and attention to detail is a MUST! Must be able to self-manage and work well in a small office setting. Must be able to commit to scheduled hours/days. 32-36 hours per week to start. This is not a remote position. Local candidates preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant, hands-on construction accounting experience required. Previous construction accounting management or assistant controller experience a plus.

Recent experience processing weekly payroll.

Working knowledge with prevailing wage/Davis Bacon preferred.

Experience with certified payroll reporting through DIR, Prism, eMars, LCP Tracker.

Knowledge of accounts payable, purchase orders, etc.

Credit card and bank reconciliations.

Knowledge of lien releases, preliminary notices.

Knowledge of job cost, accounts receivable, change orders, etc.

Human resources, employee onboarding/offboarding.

Proficient in advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel.

Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a MUST!

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated and self-directed.

Experience in Sage 100 accounting software a plus.

Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to follow directions.

Willingness to do the little tasks.

Other accounting/administrative duties as delegated by supervisor.
