Outstanding manufacturing company seeks detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to join their accounting team temporarily. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct account.
Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
Prepare invoices and track payments
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Perform other accounting duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required
