One CaliforniaResponsibilitiesThe Wound Care Nurse is a skilled and experienced professional Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for the development coordination and monitoring of the hospital's Wound Care Program. The Wound Care Nurse provides expert direction and support establishes standards of care and clinical competencies to meet patient needs and training to ensure quality clinical care. The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for quality initiatives and compliance. The Wound Care Nurse works collaboratively with the medical staff and provides education to patients caregivers and staff on wound ostomy and continence care. The Wound Care Nurse also works collaboratively with the Neuro Care and Children's Sub-Acute Units. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement process and activities.#RN@DHQualifications

Minimum three (3) years Registered Nurse experience in the emergency department critical care or medical/surgical care in an acute setting

Must have at least two (2) years of full-time or four years of part-time wound care experience that must have taken place in the last five (5) years either in direct hands on management education or research

Wound care experience must be a component of daily licensed job duties

Experience includes acute care and must be able to be certified in wound care within one year of date of hire

Bachelor’s (BS) degree in Nursing required

Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse Program

Current California Registered Nurse license and Basic Cardiac Life Support required
