Visit https://www.dignityhealth.org/socal/locations/stbernardinemedical for more information.ResponsibilitiesThe Supervisor of Cardiopulmonary ensures high-quality patient care through the efficient and cost-effective management of the Cardiopulmonary Services Department, encompassing both inpatient and outpatient services when applicable. This role provides expert care across all areas of the hospital and patient populations, serving as a key resource for both internal and external customers. The supervisor oversees daily operations of the Respiratory Care Department, ensuring compliance with standards of practice and licensing/regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:

Deliver expert Cardiopulmonary Care to all areas of the hospital and patient populations, serving as a resource for internal and external customers.

Oversee staff and workload management, ensuring quality care and efficient resource utilization while adapting to changing priorities.

Manage daily operations of the Respiratory Care Department to ensure compliance with regulatory and practice standards.

Supervise training and education for new employees, students, and nursing personnel, coordinating services to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality for all patient age groups.

Plan and oversee staff education, in-service training, and staff meetings to promote professional growth and maintain high care standards.

This position requires strong leadership, a commitment to quality care, and the ability to manage complex operational and clinical responsibilities effectively.Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.

Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in a related field.

BLS and certification per facility requirements.
