Responsibilities
Perform repairs and maintenance on our fleet of Peterbilt trucks as well as loaders/ forklift
Perform routine vehicle maintenance
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
Perform quality inspections prior to releasing the vehicle back on the road
Review driver vehicle inspection logs and sign off when repairs are completed
Follow company policies and procedures including those related to vehicle maintenance and safety
Qualifications
Previous experience as a mechanic; ideally with Peterbilt trucks
Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program
Knowledge of shop equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work efficiently
Welding Experience
Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Required)
Clean DMV record and current driver’s license
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong work ethic
Must be flexible, dedicated, hardworking and honest
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions
Must have the ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods of time
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb
